Games are a great way to exercise planning and execution. Today we talk about strategy and tactics, the differences between them, how they are applied in games, and how much fun it is to stay sharp. We first looked at Kids of Carcassonne. Its a light version of the popular tile game, Carcassonne, and enjoyed by the entire family. It is especially pleasing to see eyes light up when the young ones figure out the strategy to beating their parents at this game.

I love your podcasts--I also listen to the Pulp Gamer podcast. While catching up on your older casts, I heard about Pandemic. So though we're late getting started with it, I wanted to thank you & let you know how much our family is enjoying the game. We have a 10 and 8 year old who are both excited to play it often. Even our 8 year old is able to participate quite well, especially because of the cooperative "table talk" for strategy.
Thanks for t all of your work with the podcasts! Karen
