PGOC 103: Urgent - Gamers Help Haiti |
|
Put this one on your priority listen list. Haiti needs your support immediately, and DriveThruRPG.com has coordinated a limited time opportunity to receive over $1400 in product for a $20 donation to Haiti. The proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders to provide relief to the victims of the Haiti earthquakes. Smaller donations are also encouraged and matched by DriveThruRPG. We would also like to thank everyone that is a part of this effort. Great financial sacrifices have been made by many people involved. It warms our heart to see the gaming community come together like this for such a cause. |

I think we mentioned it in the "things we previously talked about on Pulp Gamer" quick-fire section. But if we didn't, it's not our fault! There's so many great, generous things that e-publishers have contributed that my first draft of what the podcast would be was a 2-hour mega-cast! Everyone, click on Erika's name, her URL is Sonic Legends' website.
I've put in my 20$, as well as published it on my site.. For some reason DTRPG does not make the bundle available immediately, so I'm waiting patiently for it to arrive.
In additoin, I'm not clear on why they wouldn't add additional publishers willing to join as they come, as you mentioned? I'd think they could always add the extra games to your account later.
I also found it strange that major publishers like WotC (who don't sell PDFs anymore) , White Wolf and Paizo aren't participating.
I want to end this with a huge kudos to DTRPG and all the participating publishers. This is awesome!
Itamar, great to hear from you as always. We missed you when you were gone! Or I did, anyway...
I think what DTRPG is doing with the download links now is just adding them directly to your account/order on the website rather than forwarding you the links in an e-mail. At least that's what happened to mine.
A great deal for a worthy cause.
I picked up three books that were on my buy list for less than the price of one. And got all the Apocalypse Prevention Inc. books to boot.
Than
ks to DTRPG.com and all the publishers who participated.
Great review of this fantastic effort! In regards to Chronica Feudalis, Starfleet Battles originally stated that the rules for Starfleet Battles were found on a computer mainframe at either MIT or UCLA and supposedly had a futuristic date and time stamp. Also, thanks for explaining where podcast 102 is at, I was confused.

You forgot to mention that the bundle also includes 5 our our soundscapes. That's almost an hour of free music designed especially for RPGs! :)
