Great show, as usual! After just retiring from the Air Force myself, I am happy to hear that Jerimiah returned back safely. By the way, did you get my e-mail about hearing Jess on a different podcast?

I think we did get your email. I can't remember now if we responded to it in show yet or not. Jess confirmed that it was her, I remember that.

Another good show folks! I too am glad Jeremiah is back. I liked hearing about gaming experiences while deployed. It is interesting to know what games are popular with our military. I thought of a couple of games that travel well and are fun. No Thanks! is a super deceptive little card game with difficult decisions and a ton of fun. Escalation is a fun quick, almost no think filler. And how could I not mention - Hive. Yes, like Dominios, Hive has very nice sturdy tiles and also has depth.
Caliphate Nights sounds interesting. I like the 'game in game' aspect. My question though is does the 'moral' of the sub-game really affect the main game and how so? An example would be cool.
Tigris & Euphrates - need to play it.
And you need to play Macao. It is the new hotness at our game night. A really great game with some hard decisions and strategy with a bit of luck thrown in to whip things up.
Lastly, my Fiasco playset - Reconstruction - has been posted at the Bully Pulpit website (bullypulpit.com). Check it out and let me know how your game went.

The relevance of the game-in-game aspects of Caliphate Nights is reliant on the player controlling it. Of course some people will think "wow, that was really on target" while others will scratch their heads.

I love the Fiasco playset, hopefully I'll get a chance to try it out soon.
