Great show and some great info on Shotgun Diaries. When you mention how there are many ways to play RPGs and they are all correct, it reminded me of an example from a book on Zen and the martial arts that said that there are thousands of ways to cook fried rice and they are all right. Basically, play the way that is fun for you and your friends.
You mentioned that the group did not have the capabiltiy to record the different talks at the Game Masters Con. Actually, even if the quality is not that great, I beleive that it would be important for archiving the history of games and the people that play them. Harlan Ellison wrote once that there are great SF authors who go to conventions every year and have seminars/presentations that no one records. He wrote this a number of years ago and things have chancged some due to technology but it is important, still. Ellison thought that this was wrong because we need to preserve the words of our writers and designers so that we can understand where SF and the gaming industry, too came from. We need to remember our history. I understand that you have a budget and that there could be issues over legal ownership but as someone who enjoys history, I think that it is important, too.
A movie on Shotgun Diaries sounds fine. Keep us up-to-date on what is happening with that.
John Wick mentioned how he dealt with the film crew and actors. I think the one lady was surprised by his allowing her to add to the story-line because she was probably used to writers that did not want even one word changed in their scripts. I think that due to writing a game adventure, you expect people to add to your words and ideas which allowed you to be flexible. Anyway, good luck with the movie.

Cool show guys!
John Wick is a great guest. Blood & Honor sounds like a must buy to me. The honor system described is very neat. Wow. I want to play this. I had heard that Shotgun Diaries was to be a movie so it was cool to hear John talk about it.
Boy, I wish I was near Tucson. The GM conference once again is going to be awesome. Please give us a good report. Maybe have some of the presenters on the show?
I didn't make it to Free RPG day this year sadly.
Dave, you sound like an AWESOME store owner! I wish we had one as devoted to his customers. I have a couple of good stores but not up to your standard.
Good job.
