I think Jason's "geek deficiency" is being the best at what he does. But what he does, ain't pretty.

In preparing a comedy game and a horror game recently I came to the conclusion that both work well when normal comfortable things act opposite to what you expect. That is why kids make the creepiest evil villains!

I want to more about geek scouts!

I remember the first time I played Trivial Pursuit when it first came out. I absolutely hated the game because of its emphasis on things that I had zero interest in (this was early 80's). The only piece that I won that game was from correctly answering a question regarding romance novels. The question was 'who was the main male character in Wuthering Heights', the answer was Heathclif. The only reason that I knew it was because of a Monty Python's Flying Circus episode, 'Wuthering Heights on an Aldiss Lamp'. (the light flash signaling system used by some navies in WW II).

Definitely want regular Geek Scouts updates! Have you considered the URLs GeekScouts.info, or TheGeekScouts.org?

My wife and I are really interested in the Geek Scouts Google doc... any chance you would make it public?

first off: GIRLY GIRL? Bren, you're going down! I am the antithesis of girly, thank you very much. harumph.

second: I was also able to answer the Quadrotriticale pop quiz.

finally: anyone who wants to send me art for our badges, it is warmly welcomed since, being 15 degrees off geek, I pick lame images for badges :) burningletter@hotmail.com

totally unrelated, love you, miss you Don!

Pulptans,
I couldn't help but think of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen during your discussion--both for comedy and in-jokes. The other game with a sense of humor built in (besides Kill Puppies for Satan) is the Shab al-Hiri Roach. And that one's particularly resonant for anyone who's gone to (or works at) college.
Keep up the great work!
James

I just got to listen to episode 127 and the Geek Scouting is an amazing idea. As you are able, I'd love to hear more about it. Since my daughter is only 7 months old, I'm sure we could continue the development in time for her to start as a tribble scout.
(also, geekscouting.com/net/org is available)
